Mrs. Hooper has 31 years experience in education. She has taught at the elementary, middle and high school levels. She served as the principal of Crossroads Elementary for many years before becoming the Director of Curriculum for Marion County. She then took the position of principal at the Whitwell Middle School.

Mrs. Hooper has been married for 43 years. She has two adult sons and five grandchildren. Her hobbies include reading, traveling, and refinishing furniture.

In the future, Mrs. Hooper hopes to see an adequate facility at WMS, to have all children achieving to the best of their ability, and to have a strong connection between students, parents, school and community.
